The Dash DIW027 MultiMaker Mini is a single four-inch cooking system with interchangeable removable plates. It suits someone who likes mini waffles but wants to change patterns, use a small griddle setup and wash the plates away from the powered body. The selected package matters because different bundles contain different plate sets and storage accessories.

What the system changes

A fixed Mini commits you to one cooking pattern. The DIW027 lets you install compatible plates for the breakfast you want to make. The current page describes classic waffles, hearts and griddle cooking, with plate packs offered in several configurations.

That flexibility is useful if you enjoy both small waffles and other small breakfast foods. It also brings extra pieces to store and a need to check which plates are installed. Several plates in the box do not mean several waffles cook simultaneously: this is still one mini cooking position.

Check the chosen bundle

The current selector includes a Spring package with seven plates and a storage case, as well as Aqua, Red and Holiday packages with different plate counts. Do not assume the case or every pictured seasonal pattern comes with every selection.

Choose the actual package that contains the plates you want now. An accessory pack on its own is not a complete appliance, and a compatible future pattern does not increase the supplied cooking capacity. If you want two minis together, compare a Double Mini system instead.

Detached washing is the main practical advantage

The manufacturer explicitly states that the removable plates can go into a dishwasher. After cooling, take them out, clean them and refit them securely when dry. The powered base stays out of water.

The current DIW027 description establishes nonstick plates but does not clearly declare the ceramic material used on some newer systems. It therefore should not satisfy a strict ceramic requirement merely because another Dash MultiMaker does.

Controls and cooking routine

The setup is straightforward: fit the intended plates, plug in and use the exact recipe guidance. A numerical countdown, adjustable browning dial and audible finish system are not established in the retained current description. Interchangeable plates provide food-format flexibility, not automatic timing.

When using a griddle setup, follow the instructions for that configuration and the food being cooked. A page showing several possible foods does not mean a waffle and a griddle occupy the same cooking position at the same time.

Choose DIW027 for one small cooking position, removable dishwasher-permitted plates and a useful choice of patterns or griddle configurations. Choose a Double Mini for two simultaneous items, or an explicitly ceramic system when material is essential. The best DIW027 package is the one whose actual included plates match the meals you intend to make.

The bundle is the product you actually receive

The DIW027 family can be sold with different removable plate assortments. Before choosing a particular waffle shape, confirm that the exact offer includes the corresponding pair; compatible plates and photographed alternatives are not automatically included. This is especially important when comparing a themed limited bundle with a standard Mini kit. Its four-inch cooking format keeps portions small even when multiple plate patterns are available.

The plates detach and are expressly allowed in the dishwasher, but the current source does not establish that their surface is ceramic. If you have an essential ceramic requirement, choose a configuration with that specific declaration rather than inferring it from another Dash Mini. Compared with the fixed ceramic DCW005, the DIW027 exchanges a known fixed grid for plate flexibility and separate washing; compared with the DIW028S Family Mini, it is a one-waffle setup rather than the documented two-position family configuration. Decide whether plate swapping is useful enough to justify the package check and storage.

The flexibility is most useful when plate designs get repeated use, not merely because a list of shapes is long. A single four-inch cooking position still limits batch output. The exact plate set also determines what food the unit can make, so a “system” title cannot guarantee each pictured pattern is part of the purchase. Keep the selected waffle pair, care permission and material claim tied to the same offer.
